Description: Kentucky Wired has applied to expand fiber optic lines for improved bandwidth across Kentucky. Lines would be primarily overhead using existing poles within rights-of-way. Some underground installation is needed, using ditch-digging equipment.

Description: American Electric Power Co (AEP) needs to rebuild its existing Stinnett-Pineville power line by installing new infrastructure, increasing the right-of-way from 100' to 120', and obtaining a Special Use Permit. Five out of 28 miles of line is on DBNF.
Location: UNIT - Redbird Ranger District. STATE - Kentucky. COUNTY - Leslie. LEGAL - Not Applicable The entire 28-mile power line rebuild goes from the Pineville Substation near Pineville, KY, to the Stinnet Substation near Stinnet, KY. Only 5 miles of the line is on NFS lands in Leslie County.

Description: Redbird Ranger District is proposing to thin approximately 2,780 acres of forest stands using the crop tree release method, designed to increase growing space to specific trees by thinning competition of adjacent saplings 30 years old or less.
