Description: TVA proposes to replace three steel structures in a transmission line. A temporary road is needed to access the utility line ROW and it would be 12 ft. wide by approx. 1,500 ft. long. Trucks & trailers would use the road to transport the materials.

Description: Use heavy equipment to dig up to 10 soil pits and collect samples for waste characterization. Samples would be delivered to an offsite laboratory for analysis. All holes would be backfilled with excavated material and covered with soil from onsite.

Description: Red spruce trees would be spot planted by hand in an approximately 1,600 ac area. Planting will occur generally above 4,000 feet elevation and in locations with dead or dying hemlock or north facing slopes. Mechanical release would occur as needed.
