Ophir Mountain Forest Health and Fuels Reduction Project
The Dillon District Ranger signed a decision notice and finding of no signficant impact on November 21, 2011 for the Ophir Mountain Forest Health and Fuels project. This decision authorizes approximately 1,500 acres of vegetation treatments in the vicinity of Frisco, Colorado. Treatments will focus on reducing fuels and regenerating stands of lodgepole pine forests affected by the ongoing mountain pine beetle epidemic.
Ophir Mountain area west of State Highway 9 near Frisco from Miners Creek to North Barton Gulch
